First Night Spokane

The annual First Night Spokane is an amazing New Years Eve for all ages. Of course I am a face painter in the children's activities. All over town there are art exhibits, music, dancing, ice sculpture, local vendors, even skate board competitions. It's a wonderful way to end the old year and welcome in the new.

Sometimes I feel so blessed - I was given a talent that gives me great joy and has opened a few interesting doors over the years as well as being a powerful outlet. I love to paint and to make beautiful things.

A few years ago I was becoming involved with Spokane Art School, which has since closed down but has, to some degree, merged with MAC. A lovely lady at SAS needed help with Artfest - volunteers especially with the children's craft area. I found out that not only could I face paint, but it was great fun. Since then, I have had the opportunity to earn a little money through birthday and holiday events and to also participate with great pleasure in First Night Spokane.

Recently I did a birthday party for a little girl who had just turned 2. I'm sharing a few of the pictures here...
